General Questions About Alternative Housing Solutions

  1. What types of alternative housing options do you provide?
    Our alternative housing solutions provide motorhomes, caravans, modular homes, river/sea explorers, upgraded vans, tents, etc, whichever our donor/resident wants as its you requesting the funds.
  2. How do you determine who qualifies for housing?
    Everyone qualifies for housing, we do not determine this, life determines these things. As such we cannot control peoples living conditions BUT we can help make them better.
  3. What is the process to apply for housing?
    To apply for alternative housing options on our website, simply decide which type of housing you would like, determine costs and create a campaign.
  4. Are these homes temporary or permanent solutions?
    All homes are permanent solutions and all residents can reside in any of their properties for as long as it is safe and comfortable for them to do so.
  5. Can individuals choose the type of housing they prefer (e.g., motorhome, tiny home, etc.)?
    Yes, you will always have your own choice.
  6. Do the homes come fully equipped with utilities and basic amenities?
    Not always but our team can help support you with getting the essentials you need.
  7. Where are these homes located, and are they in safe neighborhoods?
    Our housing can be anywhere as long as it is legal and with permission. We work with all our members/residents, local governments and local authorities to enhance safety and community.
  8. Can the homes be relocated if a resident needs to move?
    Yes, many of our homes can be relocated within a very short time frame.
  9. How quickly can housing be provided once someone is approved?
    Housing can oftentimes be provided within 48 hours, we do ask for upto 7-14 days on rare occasions.
  10. What are the legal and zoning requirements for the types of housing you provide?

Questions About Ongoing Support

  1. What kind of ongoing support do you provide to residents?
    We offer resident digital skills training and remote work opportunities, many will create a business.
  2. Do you offer counseling or mental health services?
    No, we leave this to the professionals and already established support groups.
  3. Are residents provided with job training or digital skills development?
    Yes, all residents will be provided with digital skills development training.
  4. How are referrals to appropriate support agencies handled?
    We converse with residents and support agencies directly.
  5. Do residents have access to community spaces or shared facilities?
    No, not always, on sites this can be plausible but in general no, life on the road can oftentimes be secluded.
  6. What partnerships do you have with external agencies for additional support?
  7. Is there an emergency contact or support line for residents?
    Yes, we provide residents with an emergency contact number with a local volunteer.
  8. Are there regular check-ins or evaluations to ensure residents’ needs are being met?
    Yes our platform and team reaches out to all residents on a monthly basis for the duration of their living agreements with us.

Concerns About Donations

  1. How are donations used to fund housing solutions?
    All donations are used to directly impact the resident/donors community of which fundraising was initiated. Our team uses the funds to acquire the housing and setup locations.
  2. Can I choose to donate toward a specific type of housing or program?
    Yes, we have fund designations available. So whichever alternative housing solution floats your boat… jump onboard.
  3. What percentage of donations goes directly toward housing and resident support?
    We would love to say 100% but with external costs and unforseens we currently put in 80% of all proceeds directly.
  4. Is there a way to track the impact of my donation?
  5. Are donations tax-deductible, and do you provide receipts?
    We provide PDF receipts but no tax deductibles as we are not a registered charity nor want to be.
  6. What happens if someone is unable to stay in the housing provided through donations?
    We will help find a solution or an alternative.
  7. Do you accept non-monetary donations, such as furniture or supplies?
    Yes, but only through our platform shoutouts when needed by a resident. We do not accept them directly.
  8. How do you ensure transparency and accountability in the use of donations?
    We display all funding achieved on the website and spend on a yearly basis.

Resident-Specific Concerns

  1. Can families with children apply for housing?
    Yes.
  2. What happens if a resident loses their job while in one of your homes?
    We support the resident in getting a new job, creating their own business or setting up universal credits support.
  3. Are there policies for residents who violate housing rules or agreements?
    All we ask for is respect and treat our property provided like it is your own. We will not tolerate any harassment, bullying behaviour or racial slurs of any kind.
  4. Do you provide assistance with utility bills or other living expenses?
    No, we provide housing and guidance.
  5. How do you handle residents with disabilities or special needs?
    We will always aim to cater for all residents. Members will always choose the type of accommodation they feel they would be comfortable with.
  6. What steps are taken to help residents transition into permanent housing?
    None, this is the permanent housing, this lifestyle can be great.

    No, only guidance to the appropriate services.
  2. Can you help residents with addiction recovery or other personal health issues?
    No.
  3. Are there partnerships with health organizations for residents in need of care?
  4. No.
  5. What happens if a resident requires immediate medical attention?
    We will contact the relevant authorities immediately.
  6. How do you address concerns about sanitation and hygiene in the housing provided?
    Sanitation and hygiene is the responsibility of the resident, we do spot checks and do enforce a standard cleanliness approach, however all hygiene aspects will need to be arranged by the resident if needed.

Community and Collaboration

  1. How do you involve local communities in your housing projects?
    We encourage all communities to get involved and create events.
  2. Are there opportunities for residents to participate in community-building activities?
    Yes, always, residents can provide moral support, activities or events.
  3. How do you ensure that residents feel safe and welcomed in their new homes?
    We provide a welcome pack and for the first 28 days aim to have a buddy support service via phone/video.
  4. Are there opportunities for local businesses or volunteers to support your mission?
    Yes, we are always looking for sponsors for all our campaigns.
  5. How do you handle conflicts or disputes among residents in shared communities?
    We are not judges and prefer to let adults be adults and also make decisions for themselves, we will listen to any dispute BUT ultimately will not make the final decision.
  6. Do residents have access to communal areas, such as gardens or recreational spaces?
    They can do depending on location or their willingness to explore more.

  1. Are the materials used in your housing eco-friendly?
    Not always but this is our aim.
  2. Do the homes incorporate renewable energy sources, such as solar panels?
    Yes, we always encourage solar.

    By doing all we can to minimise any impact.

    Not currently but this is something we are working towards once we improve our process.

    We have been providing alternative housing solutions for over 1 year now.
  2. What is your success rate in helping residents transition to stable lives?
    To date we have helped 100% of the residents we have housed and are currently still residing with us.
  3. How do you decide where to place housing developments?
    We make this decision based on the residents choice, we then contact the local authorities to work out a viable long terms location.
  4. What measures are in place to prevent fraud or misuse of resources?
    We do an enhanced resident check which includes a CRB, Passport Verification, Nationality Check, Banking check and credit check.
  5. Do you plan to expand your services to other areas or regions?
    Yes, we plan to expand globally.
